For Pocket refugees

Pocket shut down. Your reading list didn’t have to.

Start fresh. Paste the five articles you actually meant to read — audiclip turns them into a daily two-host podcast you’ll finish on the walk to the train.

Free, ad-supported. Paste five links to start.

You didn’t have a reading problem. You had a time problem.

Where audiclip fits

Three different jobs. Pick the one that’s yours.

  • Instapaper — if you actually want to read it.
  • Readwise Reader — if you want to highlight, tag, and revisit.
  • audiclip — if you’ll never get to it.

audiclip isn’t a read-later app. It’s the listening half of read-later — for the saves you were never going to finish reading anyway.

How it works

Three steps to empty the pile.

  1. 1. Paste five links.

The five articles you actually wanted to read this week. Substack newsletters, Twitter threads, blog posts, PDFs — any URL. No Pocket export needed.

  2. 2. Overnight, two AI hosts read everything.

They have a real conversation about what you saved — riff, disagree, pull out the line worth remembering. Tuned for listening, not for being read aloud.

  3. 3. Wake up to a podcast in your app.

Every account gets a private RSS feed. Plays in Apple Podcasts, Pocket Casts, Overcast, Castro. Twenty minutes on the commute, your pile is empty.

If you’re considering the move

The migration FAQ.

  • Can I import my old Pocket list?

    +

No. Pocket shut the export down before they shut the service down — Mozilla didn't leave a forwarding address. You don't need to import 4,000 articles though. Pick the five that have been on your mind, paste the links, and let those be tomorrow's episode. The rest weren't going to get read.

  • What's the catch — is this free?

    +

Yes. Ad-supported, sponsor reads between segments — the same model as the podcasts you already listen to. No credit card to start. A Pro tier (private stations, longer episodes, on-demand topic generation) will land later, but the daily-podcast core stays free.

  • Does it work in my podcast app?

    +

Every account gets a private RSS feed. Apple Podcasts, Pocket Casts, Overcast, Castro, Snipd — anything that takes a feed URL works. There's no app to install. Spotify requires a manual feed submission per show, which we haven't built yet.

  • Will it sound like a robot reading my articles?

    +

No. Two AI hosts have a conversation about what you saved — they riff, disagree, pull the line worth remembering. The voices clear the uncanny valley for most listeners. The player on this page is a real episode, not a mock. If it doesn't pass your ear test, it won't pass anyone's.

  • What happens to articles I save but skip?

    +

They roll into the next episode, then drop off after a few days. We deliberately don't keep an infinite queue — Pocket's lesson is that infinite-queue is what created the guilt pile in the first place. Tomorrow's episode, not next year's backlog.

Stop saving. Start listening.

Pocket shut down July 8, 2025. Pick five links you’d still like to get through, and let tomorrow’s commute do the work.
