  • Is this text-to-speech reading my articles to me?

    No. It’s a conversation about what you saved, the kind where someone asks the question you were about to ask and someone else isn’t convinced. The voices come from Google’s Gemini text-to-speech. Try it on one article and judge it with your own ears.

  • What can I give it?

    Paste any URL. Most articles, blog posts and Substack or Ghost newsletters work, and so do PDFs and X threads. Pocket shut down in 2025, so there’s nothing to connect there, and Instapaper import is on the roadmap. The quickest start is a few links from the tabs you already have open.

  • Which podcast apps does it work with?

    Every station has its own RSS feed, so Apple Podcasts, Pocket Casts, Overcast, Castro, Snipd and anything else that takes a feed URL will play it. Spotify needs a manual submission for each show, which we haven’t built yet. There’s no app to install.

  • What if the hosts get something wrong?

    Sometimes they will. The script is written from the article text and the hosts are told to stick to what’s on the page, but language models still occasionally invent a detail or garble a name. We’re working on showing where each claim came from. Until then, treat an episode like a smart friend’s summary, not a citable source.

  • Who can see what I save?

    We don’t sell what you read, pool it into a training set or share it with advertisers. Sponsorships, when we run them, are one host-read segment written in advance, with no per-listener targeting. Stations are public by default, which means anyone with your station link can see your episodes and their sources. You can make your station private in settings.

  • Does it work on paywalled articles?

    No. We don’t get around paywalls. If you can’t read it without logging in, neither can we.

  • Why not paste the article into ChatGPT or NotebookLM?

    For one article, go ahead. audiclip is for the steady trickle of things you mean to read. Links you add during the day become one episode, it lands in the podcast app you already use, and it’s made to be listened to, so it keeps you company on a walk or while you cook.

  • Does this replace Pocket or Instapaper?

    It does a different job. Read-later apps give you somewhere to read what you saved. audiclip turns what you saved into something you can listen to, so the pieces you’d never get round to reading reach you on the walk to work. There’s a built-in reader too, if you want the original.

  • What happens to my data if I leave?

    Delete your account from settings. Your saved articles, episodes, feed, audio files and account record are gone within 24 hours. We keep aggregate numbers that can’t identify you.
